Pastor’s Message
On behalf of the congregation, you are invited to come grow with us! As we are growing spiritually as a church, we are also busy at work growing fresh produce to feed the homeless and hungry in our community.
You are invited to join us for our BIG GARDEN DAY on Saturday, March 31, 9:00am – 3:00pm. The morning will start with a gardenside “green devotional” as we read together from the Green Bible (NRSV) and offer a garden blessing prayer. Then, everyone will get the opportunity to plant at least one seed, and some will be planting many, many more. Others will be busy at work fencing the garden, fertilizing beds, making compost bins, and refurbishing our garden toolshed. Lunch will be provided by Jilly’s Restaurant of Ellicott City, and our Deacons will serve refreshments throughout the day. Even if you cannot stay for long, stop by – at any time – and join in this mission project.
We are also preparing for Holy Week, and we want to encourage you to join us for services throughout the week:
Palm Sunday – 10:00am service with brass ensemble; Passion Week Readings @ 6:00pm.
Monday thru Wednesday of Holy Week – Passion Week Readings @ 6:00pm.
Maundy Thursday service with Holy Communion – 7:30pm.
Good Friday service – Passion Week Readings – 6:00pm.
Easter – “Son Rise” service in cemetery @ 7:30am; traditional service @ 10:00am.
